directions:

»we rode snowmobile trails from Indian Lake State Park north to Shingleton stopping at Jack Pine Lodge ( GPS: N46 Degrees 09,058' W 086 Degrees 23,716' )

With an average of 165 inches of snowfall, Schoolcraft Country is a winter paradise for outdoor enthusiasts - and especially snowmobilers, since there are nearly 400 miles of groomed trails. These trails are part of more than 2.500 miles of well marked and well-maintained pathways throughout the Upper Peninsula.

Before we reach Shingleton at the halfway point is a famous watering hole called the Jack Pine.  It would be our first stop and we would spend a little time here warming up, grabbing a bite to eat and having a hot coffee before continuing on.
